Dec 23 2008 : One Prabakaran was arrested along with another teenager only known as Solomon. Both taken to Brickfields police stations. Both got abused. Prabakaran was poured hot boiling water on him. Subsequently, only after getting media attention, 7 police officers were charged.
Solomon, however is missing till today. He is 17.
Jan 15. Kugan Ananthan was detained. Crime : suspected involvement in an international car theft syndicate.
Jan 20th 2009. Kugan a/l Ananthan, 22 year old guy, after being detained for 5days, was found dead. DEAD in a Subang Jaya police station. Selangor police chief immediately claimed that it was a sudden death, and tried linking it with asthma. His family says he has no asthmatic problem. Pictures revealed injuries to his body, fresh wounds that definitely would not require CSI to decipher.
To make matters worse, the medical officer in Serdang hospital claimed that several people ( who took the above pictures) barged into the mortuary room, after which he said Kugan’s shirt was torn and blood spots found on the ground. Lawyer N Surendran, the now-popular lawyer face for such cases, refuted the allegation.
The Royal Police of Malaysia must answer to the people. Why are there so many deaths happening in police custody? Why, and why oh why, majority of the deaths are among Malaysian Indians, conspiringly?

They claim, this is a clearly Police brutality and non of the Singapore Police would ever think about doing so.
